Ann Arbor KTC Buddhist Center

A place to practice traditional Tibetan Buddhism!

Ann Arbor KTC is a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center, founded in 1978 by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche for the practice and promotion of Buddhism in the Karma Kagyu tradition. Located in southeast Michigan, we have members and friends from the Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Toledo areas.

Ann Arbor KTC regularly hosts Tibetan Buddhist masters who offer traditional teachings and the Refuge Vow for those who wish to formally adopt the Buddhist path. Sunday Services are at 11:15 am and feature short talks by Lama Nancy and guided meditation practice. Wednesday at 7 pm we host silent sitting meditation and discussion. These are suitable for all levels of practitioner!

We also host the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness's secular meditation nights on Tuesdays at 6 pm and Refuge Recovery, a Buddhist oriented path to recovery addiction, Tuesdays at 7:30 pm. Deity chanting, and visualization sessions are Sundays at 10 am. You can learn more about us, our events, or special upcoming events at annarborktc.org
